What to Expect
CHIROPRACTIC IS A JOURNEY
Initial Visit
In this initial appointment, your chiropractor will be gathering information regarding your current state of well-being. We will be asking some vital information in order to get to know you and to gain an insight on how your body, spine and nervous system has been functioning.
The physical component of the appointment includes:
Complete Chiropractic spinal assessment
Postural Analysis
Spinal Range of Motion Testing
Neurological and Orthopaedic Testing
Referral for X-Ray (if indicated)
We then take this information and prepare an optimised care plan specifically suited to your health goals that we present in the form of a report in the second visit.
We recommend wearing active wear to this initial consultation. It takes approximately 45 minutes.
Second Visit
You will be presented with a personalised report of what we found from your initial visit, as well as a tailored Switched On Strategy that will best help you achieve your goals.
This report will contain:
What we found
Why this has happened
How we can help
We can get started straight away with your first Switched On chiropractic adjustment.
Regular Visits
It is important to remember that your body may have been stuck in a dysfunctional pattern for quite some time. Even though a great number of people feel amazing after their first few adjustments, longer lasting results come from sticking to your chiropractic strategy as outlined in your second visit.
This means that you will be scheduled in for weekly, fortnightly or monthly regular adjustments.
Chiropractic is a journey. The aim is to get you out of the dysfunctional pattern and into a state of more balance and ease. When this happens, your adjustments become a preventative measure rather than a reactive solution to a problem. This means the frequency of your adjustments will change depending on where you are in your care plan.
Progress Visits
After a pre-determined number of visits outlined in your Switched On Strategy, we will have a special visit to check back in and reassess some of the tests from the initial interview. This allows us to clearly track your progress under chiropractic care. You will be able to see first-hand the results you have achieved.
